I plan to use the box as a filter for an aquarium. I love the gamma lid. The sides are not as smooth as I had hoped. (Did not look at the picture close enough). Have ordered the 7gallon bucket for future filters.

I needed containers to hold three different types of dry food. I needed air tight protection against the dust clouds common to our rural living. Vittles vault fit that need and has worked well in keeping the dogs and cats feed clean, dry and fresh. Would recommend it to anyone who needed a good food container. The only drawback would be if the buyer had a rodent problem. I don't think these would hold up to rodents. But they do seem to keep dust, bugs, and moisture out.

This is great for food storage! I don't have to worry about if I forgot to seal a bag back or a rip or hole in a bag.... Pouring the food directly into this for a secure storage is just perfect! It even comes with a food scoop.

Its kinda like a sofa should be- buy it once and you'll never need another.

This is a really nice storage for food. It keeps my food dry & I live in a basement apartment where moisture is usually an issue. It doesn't fit a whole bag of food, even though it says it holds the same amount as on the bag. But it is worth it to have something so air tight.

I have 3 of the biggest ones. I LOVE them. I keep one in the pantry for storing flour, etc to keep it bug proof, and things smell fresh longer. The other 2 are in the back hall with catfood in 1, dog food in the other. Much neater appearance in the hallway than bags standing around, and the animals have not tried to get in them. They used to tear their food bags open and make a big mess.

It does exactly what it claims - my bug problems have completely disappeared since I bought one.
Also, the pet store I work at keeps all of the food for our animals in vittles vaults - we have some minor problems with insects elsewhere in the store - but no problems at all in the feed room.
Just be aware that they do Not claim to keep out raccoons, roaming dogs, squirrels, etc.
It would be nice if they were a little cheaper, but other than that, I am definitely happy with mine.

Placed my container in the garage and the chipmonks and squrrils chewed the hell out of it. SO it is not the best design ..needs to be made out of steel/tim ...especially around the top.
