harness, 12/20/2015

Lori1957 from 64056

So cute and it fits. She is stunted in growth. The size of a 6mo. kit. Bad home and nutrition. As soon as I get it from the shelf she is in my lap and ready to put it on.

Waste of money, 10/8/2015

LindenTree from Baltimore, MD, USA

It was way way too big for my ferret. Seems to be more for rabbit. And i bought two of these. So now they just laying there. I dont think my ferret would ever fit those. If i would know that , i wound not waste my money.

Broke after 1 use!, 8/26/2015

MonkeysMom from Maine, USA

Straps broke after 1 use. My 3.5lb ferret wiggles right out of the small harness anyway so it wouldn't have worked. Oh well. It was worth a shot!

Ok for some, 8/11/2015

klobdob from Des Moines, IA, USA

I usually use the denim critter jeans harness, but my very small ferret was able to get out of it frequently. I keep Bluetooth trackers on my ferrets so they can have free reign of the house when I am home and I can find them easily when I need to and have piece of mind knowing they haven't escaped out a plumbing access panel. It is essential they keep their harness on. This harness adjusts smaller for smaller ferrets and so she hasn't gotten it off BUT the plastic buckles rarely stay in position which is annoying. Also, the d ring on each one of these (purchased 3 different colors) had to be squeezed shut because there was a gap that let the ring easily come off the harness. Overall, it is working for my small ferret. I still like the sturdiness of the denim harness better but I am glad this one is available since its size works best for my little girl.

Fell apart in a matter of days., 9/29/2014

GeRg from Okanogan County, WA, USA

The mesh interior was barely sewn to the outer hemming. At the lightest tug it frays and tries to unravel. Magically it still seems to hold together when I get it wrapped around my struggling fuzzy. I got the velcro in place (easy) and moved to snap the buckles. The buckles that, in the product description, are said to "ensure a secure connection of the harness." The tab end of the buckle fell off into my hand. So I re-laced the strap through the buckle and tried again... Got them clipped into place and tightened. They both came loose in minutes. I don't mean they were yanked at by a ferret, they just sorta slip. On the upside she seemed to like it, and the stretchy leash is awesome. I'll be keeping that. I tried to find a way to get the straps to stay but one of the buckles broke on the third day. The velcro itself is weak as well so without the buckle it's useless. My Gune is a tiny thing but she can pull free with ease, leaving me holding the harness at the end of a bouncy leash.

Not for smaller ferrets!, 5/30/2013

Carrie from

My little girl is one of those Houdini ferrets who can make her way out of just about anything, including this harness. After adjusting it about as small as it could go, she still managed to wriggle out of this every time. Might be good for bigger, calmer fuzzies, but I wouldn't recommend it, because overall it just isn't safe for my own ferret.

Great Leash.... When adjusted., 4/18/2013

Jonathan from Alabama,USA

Okay so I received my Comfort Harness for my ferret today. It actually fit him great, but I did have to make a few minor adjustments. This harness has 2 fasteners for the front and the back, one velcro and one plastic clip. On the plastic clips the straps were really long which caused my ferret to walk weird, so I simply cut them off shorter and burnt the ends to keep it from fraying. Then I rolled the end two very small times and stitched the end as well so that it wouldn't slip out of the clip portion. Now for the part that I was a little more concerned about. There is a "D" ring on the top of the harness that you attach the leash to. This wasn't pinched together tight enough by the manufacturer which allowed the ring to completely come off of the harness....... this could allow my ferret to get loose and run away which would be extremely upsetting. All it required to fix it was a pair of pliers and a bit of pressure. I will have to keep an eye on it to make sure this doesn't open back up, but for now it is working. *So if you don't mind doing a little bit of work, this is a great leash. If you want something to work straight out of the box..... this isn't the leash for you.

Pretty good product!, 4/9/2011

Cheryl from Shinnston, WV

I have purchased several of these for my fuzzies. I personally thing they are awesome. Buying the correct size is crucial or your ferret can slip out of it. I don't like the leash, but I just use a 6 foot nylon small dog leash with it.
