This cage added a third level for rescue kittens to play in before being adopted from their foster home.
There was a bit of damage to some of the bars but not enough to return it.

When I had some oops litter of babies, I needed to separate the babies around 4 weeks, The add on was extremely handy and gave me the extra space I needed without having to buy another double cage.

My pet is happy to have the add on on his cage that now he has room to run around. Especially on my long days that I can't take him out to exercise. There is so much room in the add on that he can run around. The add on cage is easy to assemble and I had it put together in about 30-45 minutes.

When I got this I was very happy with it. The only issue was putting the slightest parts together, but a hammer will do the job. I love the space and look of it, and the option of stacking cages. It doesn't look messy and its easily accessible even when stacked up to 3. My rats love the space and the room for their toys and hammocks. The doors are easy to open with one hand and provide plenty of room for cleaning and decorating. I give it a 5 star.

We're very happy with the add-on to our cage. It was easy to put together, gives our rescue squirrel a lot of extra space and makes it easier to clean the cage with the closing "trap door." Highly recommend!

I am a squirrel rehabber and I love the CN cage for its strength and ease of cleaning. The only downside of this cage is that the doors are too large to prevent small animals from escaping easily. I would be so happy if there was an option of purchasing an optional door that has a small feeder door that is about 6" x 6" in it to put food in or take dishes out while avoiding escapes. Overall, this is the best cage that I have used for wildlife rehabilitation.

Got this add-on for my Double Critter Nation, and now I have a wicked Critter Nation tower for all 9 of my younger rattie boys!
My rats are loving the new space and are glad they don't have to separated. It all went together pretty well, though the pieces don't all fit together for the add-on as well as they should, and if that had substracted from the soundness from the cage, it would have been sent back with a big frowny face. But, it was very minor and didn't compromize the security if the cage.
Other than that, this add-on is everything I wanted, and I only love Critter Nation more for it.
And, Ferret.com is the cheapest for Ferret/Critter Nation that I have encountered to date. Yay!

Quality: I only gave the add-on unit (although this goes for the base cage as well) 3 stars, because on the box it says no tools required and that you can put it together with just one person. Honestly, these cages are a headache to put together. I needed to use a hammer to bang pieces into place, and to even out bent pieces.
Price: I gave this 4 stars because when I looked at other sites to purchase this cage, it was easily $40 or more compared to this site, but its still a lot of money to shell out on a cage, although I feel the cage is definitely worth it.
Durability: My favorite thing about this cage is how durable it is. Definitely one that will last you a lifetime of rat or other small animal ownership. Its extremely sturdy and I doubt there is much you can do to this cage to damage it. Most other cages I see are very flimsy and won't last more than probably 5 years.

It says no tools needed...we needs a hammer because the doors weren't lined up properly. Also two parts the slide together were bent and needed to be forced back. We bought the bottom prior and had trouble with that. It is just made cheap. Once it is together it is ok, but if I had to do it again, I would go with a different company.
