The cage itself is more than I expected for the price. The main complaint is the workmanship. Many pre-drilled holes were not done and so I had to do them myself to put it together. My two farrets love the new adventure.

I used this cage for my rats. Yes, once you remove the metal grate is leaves a gaping hole that your critters can escape out of. My husband glued a peice of wood to the back and used velcro to attach a peice of wood that can be removed to the front and problem solved!! I have been through many many cages and this one is by far the easiest to clean. There is nothing heavy to lift! You simply slide out the pan and wipe down the plastic shelves. For a cage this size it is the only one you dont have to lift the entire wire part off the base. I highly recommend this!!!

I LOVE this cage. It's perfect,
lots of room for my two ferrets,
and if you take the bottom grate off it's Super easy to clean!

I have this cage for 3 fuzzies. My only issues are that a) my littlest one could escape by going through the opening between cage and pan and b) the ramps and shelves are already starting to warp and fray and I haven't even had a year. Are my babies comfy in it? Yes, there is even room for 2 hammocks and 3 litter boxes. Would I recommend to anyone? By all means, yes! But not if you have tiny ferrets under 3 pounds.
