I rescue birds and love these carriers for taking cockatiels and smaller sized birds to the vet. For extra security, nylon ties can be run through the holes on the sides to secure the bottom to the top even further if you have a heavier pet. There is another type I used to buy that had plastic for the two shorter sides and these would crack and break easily. I find the travel home cages to be much better!

I have never been dissapointed with this site before, when it comes to their merchandice,but with this I was. My ferret was completely uncomfortable in it. He dorked the whole time and kept trying to get out. It is WAY to small for the price, I figured it would hold at least 2 ferrets comfortably. I was gravely mistaken, I was completely upset with this. luckily I have 2 hamsters so I was not put out of my money completely.

I initially bought this for two rats- I def. did not realize how small it is!
Luckily, I have a pet mouse too, and I just use this for her when cleaning her cage.
I wouldn't recommend it for anything bigger then a hamster.....

when i first got my ferret i was a freshmen in college, i got this carrier becuse it was lightweight and easy to clean and hide. i feel it is a good product. i travle home alot and i have a cage in both places. the take me home carrier is perfect for car rides, my ferret still hasnt been able to get out and with the ability that he can see what is all going on he stays calm and sleeps almost the entire way. i guess the quality just comes down to how the ferret is trained and how the product is used. i do know that these carriers come in three different sizes so a smart shopper would be able to fine one that cant be outgrown. compared to other travel cages i have bought, i like this one the best.

This product is called take me home. That for new babies my ferrets weight is almost two pounds I took him to the vet it did the job and no holes in anything.

These are only good for ferrets when theyre tiny babies. They quickly outgrow them like in a week! and just arent worth the money. Theyre better for animals that stay small like rats. For a ferret, youre better off getting a larger plastic carrier. You can put in a litter box and foodwater dishes in those.
