I got two litter pans, in case my ferrets don't want to walk away to the bottom, or can't hold it until then -so everything has to be built around the access doors -and with all that I have, I can't have everything built around the 2 doors. Ferrets my like the cage, but the owner is left feeling like trying to shove their hand up a vending machine!

This cage is great for my energetic babies! I change the levels around on a regular basis, and they love to chase each other through the tunnels. I use the entire bottom floor as a litter box, and to clean it is a snap, you just lift the cage off the base and dump the used litter in the trash, much easier than previous cages tried. I have hanging beds and they love to swing back and forth. Also, wire floors can disfigure ferrets feet, and this has no wire floors at all. The only downside was my husband cursed quite a bit when assembling the cage, as the instructions are not very clear:)

The cage is very entertaining for the two babies that live there.I change the levels around every week , so they they have new areas to explore.I must say though it is very challenging to clean.which i do daily.Sometimes they will go potty on a level that is very hard to get to.I have had a couple levels plastic tabs break off.I need to replace them.I do like the appearence,quality of construction and the ability to change it around.I just wish there was more doors that would allow for easier cleaning and changeing levels.All said and done i would buy it again.I have had mine for a year.

I have 3 ferret and this cage is way too small for them. I was really disappointed when it came. The inside measurements are only 30x17 which is very misleading. I have had ferrets my whole life and my MIDWEST cage is the only one that is big enough to hold all 3 of them and it has lasted over 10 years. I would recommend someting bigger and more durable for your ferrets. But this is a good idea.

The assembly directions were far from clear. The ramps don't connect as shown, so we ended up having to rearrange the shelving, etc. But the ferrets LOVE it. After they finally figured out how to get up and down the ramps, and into the tunnels, they are totally in love. So, I'm glad we got it, but I was not thrilled with assembly.
