Because of the mixed reviews, I bought one of the small ones @ $0.79 to try. I'm glad I didn't buy any more! I filled it up, and it leaked like a faucet. Within 2 hours, the bottle was empty and the cage shelf was flooded! I'm sticking with the Lixit bottles from now on!

I have 10 of these. The bottles are OK, but prone to drip until empty. I use the bottle, however I switched out the tops with other water bottle lids. The washer that comes in the original lid of these bottles is too small making them drip constantly. Beware.

I purchased 25 of these water bottles as I breed African Soft Furred Rats. I am using all of them and have had a problem with NONE! I keep my rats in about a 1.3-1.4 ratio and only need to refill them every couple of days. I have had NO problem with them leaking. This was a CHEAP way to water them all. I will be purchasing more as I expand further!

Does it's job & is cheap - I keep a few on hand and use it for my rats - they have more than one water bottle per cage.

Its just a water bottle, how fancy does it need to be! At least thats what I thought when I bought 3, WRONG! When I fill them up and attach em to the side of the cage they just drip and drip until a vacume builds up inside enough to stop the drip. Then of course no water comes out at all when its suppose to. As a last effort I put a pinhole in the bottle to relieve the vacume, then it just driped until it was empty (about 15 min). maybe I just dont understand how these complicated devices are suppose to work.
