Ferret Supplies

I did not purchase this product off ferret.com (now I wish I had because it was much more expensive) but got it at a local PetCo. I asked an associate if the product would work on rabbits too and he said "sure!" So when I got home I was curious of the taste and found a miniscule drop to be terrible. "There is no way Houdini (my big albino bunny) will chew up the carpet or wall anymore! So happily I pumped a few sprays on Houdini's already favored areas of destruction and watched as he came over to investigate. Still cringing from the bitter taste that would not leave my lips, I watched as Houdini began to LICK the carpet. Yes. He licked every inch of where I sprayed the Time Out until it was gone and then he proceeded to chew again. So instead of repelling the bunny it made areas of attraction for him! Oh boy... *Sigh*

My ferret ignores it completely! Maybe the first day I've tried it,it gave some results but not for long time. I can spray 10 times at one spot and my ferret will still chew it! I just stopped using it,because the smell gives me a headache.

I've been trying this product for a week now, spraying it on power cords, the wires on his cage, fingers and various other no-no's. My huge problem is the fact that he bites at the cage's wires and am afraid he will break his teeth on it...this product has lessened how much he does it (although he still bites the wires). I tried this stuff out on me first, to see how bitter it was and this stuff IS INCREDIABLY NASTY. I had to brush my teeth and mouth 3 times before the stuff was bearable. I almost feel bad for the little guy for how long he has to deal with the bitterness. He definately does not like this.

My ferret is deaf so I cant tell her NO when she bites too hard. So I put this on my hands and feet. She really hates the taste so she has stopped biting. This stuff tastes awful, it will keep you from biting your fingernails too!

my lil boy loves to dig at corners by doors ive tried alot..so when i saw "works for the most stubborn ferret" i jumped for joy. unfortionatly it did absolutly nothing to stop him from tearin up my carpet. so all fuzzy owners who have a very determined ferret this product will do you no good. i love ferret.com so no blast at them, but my lil guy is jus too stubborn to mind that smell..it bothers me more so beware.
