When I brought two new ferrets in to join my other 4 I noticed how bad their waste smelled like ammonia. Within 3-4 days it went away once they drank the water I always use this product in. I am going to buy the gallon now, as it is $20. cheaper than the 32oz.x 4= gal.
The young couple I got them from only had them 2 mths. I am sure this is one of the reasons they got rid of them. One is 2.5 & the other is about 5 yrs. They were with another family before the young couple too. Such a shame. Now they are in a perminate home and happy with the others to play with.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kyle D. Works great in food and water!
We started with a small 8oz and now have a large 32oz and this stuff is great and non-toxic for the fuzzies. We put it on their food (which gives a little bit of smell) and in their water. Their litterbox smells like flowers and is very fresh! They love their food and water and this has not affected them at all and we love the fresh scent of the house!

Rated 5 out of 5 by KATHLEEN KELLISON Wow! Skeptical no more.
This stuff really does work! I was skeptical, it sounded too good to be true. My ferrets live on the 8-1 Ultimate diet, and since they started eating it, their poo has been extremely foul. I stumbled upon this by chance, and decided I'd order the smallest bottle just to see if it works. It really does. My female noticed it in the water and wouldn't drink it though, but I decided to only use 1-2 squirts instead of the 3-5 in their giant water bottle and they stopped noticing it. After two days I could not smell them anymore! Naturally their poo still smells, but it's not over-powering and doesn't smell up the room anymore. It was thanks to other peopls reviews that I decided to give it a shot, though still skeptical. There's not much to lose in trying it, I would reccomend it to anyone that has a problem with over-powering ferret smell. They're such great animals, but because they do stin, a lot of places wont let you have them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Cat propylene glycol
propylene glycol is also found in make-ups, shampoos, conditioners, body washes, soaps, and much more. Just letting you know. If you wana talk about something being harmful remember its in everything you use.
It works. The critters are healthy. So what does it matter.

Rated 4 out of 5 by ddjc Does NOT anti-freeze component
A previous reviewer stated that one of the ingredients, propylene glycol, is a component in anti-freeze. That is NOT true. It is ethylene glycol that is in anti-freeze. The REAL facts are that propylene glycol is approved for human consumption but ethylene glycol is poison. Google them for yourselves.

Nancy Dillman, perhaps you should actually READ the ingredients before you post such allegations.
