Rated 5 out of 5 by Mary Necessity for ferret owners!
My kids wanted to get ferrets...and we went and got three of them then we realized soon afterwards that FERRETS STINK! My husband swears that if he knew that ferrets smelled that way he would have never okayed 3 of them! Anyway, long story short...the ferrets were relegated to the garage after much complaints about how they smelled so I looked into purchasing something ... anything to keep the smell down. I ran across GoodBye Odor and read the reviews hoping that this would live up to what its for...so I ordered the 32 oz. bottle and kept my fingers crossed. Within a couple of days of using it the smell was A LOT better! Eventually, the weezils (thats what I call them) hardly smell at all! Thank heavens because we love our ferrets but not the way they smell! Out of the three ferrets only one lost some hair on his tail and got a little thinner the other two look perfectly fine.

Hi Nancy, propylene glycol is non-toxic, and deemed safe even for human consumption. The poisonous anti-freeze is ETHYLENE glycol. Please see:

Rated 3 out of 5 by Ashley It works, but do you really need it ?
This product works BUT do you need it ? Most of time, your ferrets litter pans have strong odor because :
1- You feed them the wrong food. They are obligate carnivores and can not digest sugar, fiber, fruits and vegetables. You must feed them meat and high quality kibbles (grain free, high in meat protein and low in carbs).
2- You don't clean your ferrets litter pans, cage and bedding enough. Any pets will have a strong odor if their environment is dirty. You can reduce your ferret's musky odor simply by cleaning the bedding every week.
This stuff hides your pet's health symptoms. If your pet has bad breath, its maybe cancer or gum disease. If your pet's poop smell super bad, is probaly the food or a parasite.
This product works for sure, but I wonder if its really good to use ?

Rated 5 out of 5 by James&Andria Amazing Product !
I was skeptical of the claims the producers of this product made at first, I tried it anyway. I am astounded by the results! I have 20 Rabbits, you can not tell that I have any. The 'reduces' odor claim is an understatement, there is hardly any type of odor at all. The smell of their food and bedding is now all you can smell. It took about 4 days for the odor to dissipate, Rabbits' have a very strong urine smell, as with Ferrets, I can not believe how quickly and thoroughly Good Bye Odor worked. I have seen people that complained of their animals having gas and pains after using this product, well, I honestly think it must have been something else that caused the problems, I have 9 newborn baby bunnies taking this as well as adult Rabbit's, we have no signs of gas, cramps or any other problems and a Rabbit's intestinal system is more delicate than a Ferret's. We have been using this product for over a month and we will not stop now that we know it really works.
I will continue to buy this product, it may be costly but it is entirely worth it in the long run. I used to clean their cages 3 times a day ( complete bedding replacement) due to my allergies and my sons asthma, now I clean the cages once a day and it is not a thorough bedding change, it is only a quick clean of large fecal piles. I save over 150 dollars a month now in bedding alone, so the price of the product is still not what I was spending on bedding. I will tell you though, if you have multiple animals taking this, DO NOT buy the small bottle, only buy the gallon! A small bottle will only last you a few water fillings and then you will have to start over while you wait for more product. Buy in advance so you do not have to miss doses. My Bunnies go through over 2 gallons of water a day, so make sure you buy the appropriate amount so you don't have any reason to complain. This product works and those of you whom do not believe... well try it, you will be amazed! What can it hurt, it has a money back guarantee...

I love Bi-Odor and have been using it for years with my ferrets. I have never noticed any side effects other than the lack of smell, which is awesome. The only thing I could complain about is the price, although it is much more reasonable here than in any pet store I've been in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lia Does the job....but at what cost?
With 3 rescued furkids in a small apartment, I was willing to give this a try.
I can honestly say I love the stuff, as it really does what it claims. The smell was cut WAY down.
However, I also experienced the hair/weight loss that I had read from more then a few reviews.
Within 2 months of using the product, the fur was harsh & there was hair loss on the bottom of the tails and the shoulders. I could feel my boy's hipbones.
After a trip to the vet, I removed them from the additive....and fur has already grown back....as well as the smell.
I truly regret that this didn't work out for us.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Hammie Safe for Cats?
I'm looking at the ingredients and the only difference between this and cat version is the presence of natural chicken flavor, natural fish flavor, and yucca extract in the cat version and methylcellulose is present in the ferret version.
I was wondering if any one else has used the ferret version for their cats? and if they had any bad side effects

We have 6, yes six ferrets all rescues in one way or another, they have all been on this product since they came home. I recently ran out, and I could not believe the difference in their smell, it's not horrible but definitely significant. I'm ordering more now and hate being with out it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jonathan It works
We no longer use it for our ferrets as we clean the litter boxes daily and wash the bedding once every 2 weeks, so they only have a light musky odor, they don't smell the "stinky ferrets". That said, if you can't stand your ferrets natural musky odor, or if you are too lazy to cean your ferrets bedding once every 2 weeks and keep the litter clean, maybe you will consider this stuff. To my experience, it reallly works.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jessica Must Have!!!
I figured I could handle the smell when I bought my two ferrets but I was dead wrong. Bi Oder made a huge difference. If i use the ferret Oder remover on their cage a litter box and the daily spray on them them like twice a week they smell really good. When I have company over they always say "I thought ferrets are suppose to sink?" Oh boy do I feel great when they say that. I also took it with me when I took them to the Vet and she told me its perfectly safe.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Carrie Good Product!-but be cautious.
I have three fuzzies that when adopted, they were already on bi-odor. I used it until it ran out and I REALLY noticed a difference! Very stinky! But one of my ferrets was losing ALOT of hair, turns out he really does have adrenal disease, and my other ferret gained weight after the product ran out. Turns out he's just bored and eats too much :) I'm not saying its like it for all ferrets but please be watchful if this is a new product to them. I agree with Kellie from IA with what she does with new products.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Kellie It can cause problems for your fuzzies
I read a review on this site where the owner of two fuzzies noted weight and hair loss while using this product. Given the number of positive reviews, I thought it ludicrous. Unfortunately, it happened to me. I gave the supplement to two of my fuzzies and left a third out of the loop. Jango and Jazz lost weight and their fur became horrible. I stopped the supplement and about 1 month later, my husband (oblivious to the experiment) commented how nice their fur was coming in and how they had gotten a bit heavier.
I don't think it happens to all fuzzies, but do be careful. I was giving them 3 pumps in their lock on crock water bowl.

Before I got this everyone walked into the house could smell my babies. Now they no longer smell and people always comment on how good they smell. Saying I thought that ferrets were stinky. I had tried to use a shampoo formulated for ferrets and turned out I was allergic to it. This has worked so well we never do without it. If you have ferrets it is a must have.
