My ferrets love it!, 9/12/2009
Lynne from Boulder, CO

Everything the others said about the pack sagging is true, but I don't find that to be a problem. We use it thus: we take several ferrets on a leash walk, and some get tired sooner than others. The tired ones then go in the pack to snuggle up with a blanket and look out the windows at the scenery. They don't mind the sagginess - in fact, cozy is what they want after all that exercise!

Marshall front pack; regrettfully own., 9/4/2009
Melinda from West Lebanon, NH

I would have returned if I bought at a store. Don't waste your money or time.I bought to take my ferrets on walks. I have never used it. I tried, but it collapses, sags, squishes my guys.

What was Marshall thinking?, 9/1/2009
Laryssa from USA

The durability is nice, but it just needs a tailor to make it functional. If you put a ferret in here, you have to hold the carrier up. It sags down. If you look in the picture, it has no way to keep the carrier up - the straps should go to the outside corners. But no - so the thing holds nothing up. It's like a bag for your ferret instead of a box because it collapses.

there really aint much opening other than on top for them to get the air. my ferret really didnt like being it in. no support in the bottom and he chewed right through it. i'll just buy a smaller pet carrier if i take them anywhere again

terrible carrier, 7/20/2008
Adrienne from PA

First off, at any setting, the straps are way too long making the pack really sag down. The bottom has no support whatsoever so even with one ferret, it's like carrying them in a plastic bag. This is the worst carrier I have ever used, and a waste of money.

For warm weather only., 4/11/2008
Amanda from Louisiana

I just got this carrier, and it is too warm for the climate here. There is plenty of room for one ferret, but you have to keep the zippers on the side to help keep from an escape! I am also concerned about the mesh being broken through, so supervise your pet. The straps are really long too. I am petite, and it doesn't fit, so I wouldn't recommend it for a child to wear.

Good For One, Not For Many, 12/2/2007
Michelle from Renton, WA

If you only have one or two ferrets, this might be a great way to have a short walk, but supervision is Very important. The ferret can get out very easily. Plus, the fleece can get really warm if you walk for long distances. I would not recomend this for several ferret owners, because they can become very cramped and/or overheat, depending on the season. I do like to use it if I go to the pet store or shoping center or somewhere that will be an in and out trip. It reduces the effort and bulk of a carrier and it is a little less ovious that you are carrying an animal with you. My recomendation if you do buy it, is to get a clip to hold the zippers together, so the ferrets can not get out themselves. They push the zippers with their nose and it opens quickly.

not sturdy, 8/29/2007
Eric from NJ

It doesnt hold up, falls down. basically a cloth cube w a plastic removable bottom for washing Straps dont work well either, basically you have to carry it arround and try not to smother them, also annoying when they are going for a car ride and it just collapses on them while they are on the seat.

Great carry sack!, 12/30/2006
Barb Carlson from Pittsburgh, PA

These are obviously not for containing your ferret without supervision since they can unzip it and chew through the mesh, but they work very well as carry sacks and the ferrets enjoy being able to see out while feeling secure. If you use these for long periods of time, be sure to give your ferret potty breaks as well as offering food and water about once an hour.
