It's a good product and we all know ferrets love their hammocks, but it's too small for multiple ferrets and I found that my ferrets much prefer a hammock with a pocket that they can crawl into (like a snuggler bed). Even if it's summer and it's hot, they have the option of sleeping outside the pocket. But my ferrets are old now and almost always prefer being hidden inside cozy blankets or a hammock with a pocket.

I got this to add some more sleep space for my babies when we had an addition to our family. My little Chimmy fit fine when she was very little, but my two older ones, Taco and Chula fell out from the start. My husband and I were going to get rid of it because we thought it was too dangerous, but then we came up with a great idea. We use it as a "corner shelf bed". We take the middle and pull it all the way through the corner until the sides are flush with the cage walls. Then we wrap it around and clip it to secure it. For the two ends, we put them through the sides of the cage slightly higher then the center and clip it so that the hammock is totally flat in the air. ALL THREE LOVE IT, especially Taco and Chula, and best of all, they don't fall out! It also works as a great space saver!

Starting out, I got my ferret this hammock. And, for a while, it worked out well. But as she started to get older and larger (if you consider being 2 pounds large) I would find her hanging out of it uncomfortably. The hammock itself is a great quality and holds up well.. it's just not made for grown ferrets.
