I just bought my two ferrets a couple of days ago. I bought the book first, just see what it was like to own a ferret. After reading the book I had no idea so much was involved. After reading the book I wound up knowing more about ferrets then some of the pet shop employees. If you want a ferret buy the book first. It will tell everything, every little detail you need to know. It will even give you game suggestions to play with your ferret, how to ferret proof your home, even what to do if you had bought or adopted a aggresive ferret. In the back of the book it will tell you places near you that are ferret shelters. I didnt know there were two in my area. YES there is such a place called Niceville and you will see it in the book.

I read this book BEFORE I got my first ferret. This helped me make an informed decision about whether or not I was ready for one. I also kept referring back to this book after I had gotten my first ferret. This is a great reference book , but more importantly, a great introduction to ferrets. I eventually gave this book to another individual who really wanted to purchase a ferret but had no clue about them. Great book. You wont be disappointed!

Ok simply put if you own a ferret or you are planning on purchasing one do yourself a favor purchase this as well. This book has so much information and will aid you in many many ways. From what to feed what bedding is best. If a ferret is the proper pet for you and even if the cage you want is large enough. I almos placed two ferrets in cramped quarters. you owe it to yourself and you Ferret to understand there needs wants and healthcare requirements.
