I wish I would have purchased this cage when I adopted my first ferret in Oct of 2009. I couldn't wait for shipping so I bought the very cute super pet 2x2 cage at the store. It was a nightmare to clean and the selves were so small my little Flower could not play on them. As Flower turned into a very large ferret and I added Koda to the mix, I knew it was time to upgrade. So the boys are in their new home. Flower's large butt no longer gets stuck moving between floors. The shelves are huge enough to play or sleep on. The cage is so easy to clean, it's a dream! This plays a huge part in odor control. There is so much room for toys, litter boxes, bedding, hammocks, sleepy cubes etc. For me this is like a large doll house that I get to arrange and rearrange for my little dolls. The ramps are at a good angle and I highly recommend purchasing the exterior ramp. My boys cruise in and out of their house on their own when supervised and it's great! I LOVE THIS CAGE. It was worth all the begging I had to do to my husband to get it. I only paid $50 more for this than my "starter" cage.

My two ferrets love this cage and so do I! It is super easy to clean and has a HUGE amount of space. I've only had mine for about a month or so, but I love it. The quality is very nice also. I personally love the latches/handles/whatever you use to open the doors. The only thing I think would make this better is if the second levels very top floor could face opposite of the bottoms levels 2nd floor. Anyway, huge and amazing cage, I highly recommend it and I'm sure if my ferrets could talk they would too.

I will never use another style of cage again. This is too easy to get in and out of and to keep clean. Be sure to keep the edge of the shelves covered though, as the ferret's foot can get caught between the bars.
