Id recomend this product to anybody that has ferrets! Our ferrets are young and have been really growing. So we found this and were very happy. And even though this wasnt the other cage version of it, it was still the BEST! And the cheaper on too!

Great idea to add on to the ferret cage. The ferrets love the top level, and it gives the 6 of them room to move around, and not get in each others way.

The cage is absolutely wonderful for our ferrets, and large rats. There is an issue with the gap at the edges of the shelves, and no replacements available just for the plastic floors or shelves. I also have some rusting issues in the rats side of the house. I guess it is because they chew and urinate alot more than the ferrets.

These are great cages, good for big boys or larger groups, but there is still a problem (they are working on it) with the gap between the edge of the shelves and the side panels. Little feet get caught there. I fixed this by getting Plastex sheet polyethylene from Home Depot and cutting a piece the size of the shelf and a little wider to cover the gap. Drill a couple holes along the edges and hold in places with zip ties.

I have 4 fuzzies & this cage is a true Godsend. I have the 3 level version. But to any and all this is the best cage on the market for both Fuzzy and owner alike. The removable floors make cleaning the easiest it will ever get, & the latches make it like fortknox aka Peeka Proof...(FINALLY!), with enough room for everyone to stretch out & play in.

Seems to be a good cage, but can you stack two add on cages together and create a bigger cage? (with nothing under the first add on cage) I like others, have height problems and i can't have a cage with a lot of height (so i need a cage that is around a little less than 50 inches high but i want the most room i can get (so not having stand would be great for me)

I have 4 ferrets children, and I also have had my cages for 2 years now. I love these cages for several reasons and they are as follows:
1. each ferret has 2 cages to themselves to go as high as they want or as low
2. if one is not feeling well and I need to seperate them for a bit, they still are comfortable with room and recovery
3. so, so easy to clean and clean well along with dismantle and assemble. I'm small enough to crawl in them and sleep with my babies
4. These are the only cages that my ferrets love being in (although they are out for at least 4-5 hrs a day) that I sometime can not get them out. lol
5. Well, worth every penny

I love the size of this cage and the wide doors. I have three ferrets and they have plenty of space. I hooked a bird ladder to the front so they can get back in on their own. My complaint is that it began rusting the first year I had it and now has a good deal of rust damage and many sots where paint is chipping off. I thought this was the only cage I would ever need, but it will need replaced within another year just because it is harder and harder to keep clean with the deteriorating finish.

I LOVE this cage so much that I just bought another one so I can connect 2 of them together. This is going to be a BIG 3 STORY FERRET NATION connected together!

I love this cage. It was easy to assemble, and it has so much room! The best feature is that the cage sections divide off from each other to make separate cages if you need to. For instance, I just got a new ferret and it's taking awhile for he and my older ferret to get along, so I divided the cage in half with the movable ramp and they're both happy. The cage is sturdy, a breeze to clean up, easy to hang beds, hammocks and more from. I recommend this hammock 100 percent.

We rescue exotics and have taken in a number of ferrets , often with their cages, we adopted on little guy and he came with a ferret nation cage. It was love at first sight, we have since bought a couple of others. The wide opening doors make clean up a snap, the fact that you can add extra units on top is nice too. Our three GIANT ferrets live in one two story Ferret Nation and they are happy and healthy. It is also great for quarentining cats, temp housing of medium sized birds, we have even used one to house a large lizard while we got a better habitat lined up. Easy to use, easy on the eyes, and great for the animals, win,win for everybody. get one.

My Chinchillas Love this cage! The only modification I made was removing the ramps/ladders because I was worried about their feet getting stuck. Nice and roomy, easy to clean with the wide swing out doors and removable pans & shelves, bars allow for toys to be hung at just about every spot within the cage. I have the two story one and I absolutely love the fact that its a nice heavy duty cage, compared to the cheapo's that they sell at most stores. Also, definately cheaper online than buying in the pet stores. My chins have yet to chew it and we've had it for almost a year, but if you have chewers you can always replace the pan/shelf liner with shower board (cheap, large, and easy to wipe down)

We absolutly LOVE this cage for our adult ferret, we just got a baby ferret and we are getting the add-on and cannot wait. My ferrets are SO active in this cage as there is plenty of room for play. I would recommend this cage to anyone with a ferret. It is impossible for them to escape, we have had ore expensive cages before this one, that the ferrets ripped apart and escaped from. We have had ZERO issues in the passed year with this one.

Best cage I've ever had. Doors swing wide for easy removal of pans and bedding. Doors, pans, shelves and ramps easily remove. FerretFan was wrong though, when they said that ferts can't get in from the outside. I have two boys and two girls with their own playroom. My littlest is about a pound at most, maybe 3/4lb. She's in it just the same as my 3 lb (nonclimbing) male.
Don't waste your money on a different cage, when you can have the best.

I already have a Marchiorio cage that I use for my ferrets (they are elderly and tend to poop all over the Ferret Nation cage...this other one prevents them from being able to find a good bathroom spot except their litter pans), but I received the 142 Ferret Nation cage with a rescue I did. I loved the quality so I manipulated it to put the "shelf-base" in the middle. That made the unit have a cage flat on the ground and a cage at the very top with a space in the middle for storage. I put my birds in the top part (and am buying an add-on so they have TONS of space), and my dogs use the bottom cage as a kennel! They love it and it's easier for my elderly dog to get in and out of than a normal crate that has a door lip to it! Thanks, FN!

I've had just about every ferret cage on the market and this is the one for me. The only drawback is that there is no way for the ferrets to get back into the cage if you have it in a "ferret room" where they can be loose. I solved this problem by taking the long ramp out of one of my Midwest cages and hooking it to the lower level. It's the perfect length.

I bought this by itself, I don't got the base. At first I was upset because obveously it comes with no top, but I put the bottom on top, hooked the ramp up, put the base down and litter box over the hole and its great! My ferrets are SO pleased with it they started run around and dook! They also made all sorts of NEW sounds! Thank you ferret.com for hosting this item! Fast shipping and great friendly service! I will be buying the base next!

This cage is already HUGE, but with THIS ADD-ON it TOWERS over me! I actually need a step stool to get to the 3rd level. It's awesome, easy to clean, and your ferrets will love the extra level. I cannot recommend this cage enough. You cannot beat the pricing. I actually received it in 6 days!

This is *the* cage. Things I like about this cage: 1 It is sooo easy to clean. Sweep the pans out and shelves off with a hand broom, wipe down with baby wipes. Takes 5 minutes. 2 Very safe for stinkies. Each floor is designed so that the ferrets cannot possibly fall more than a foot or so if they slip. Some other tall cages, your fuzzies can fall several feet from the top shelves and injure themselves severely. 3 This cage has locking ramps between the floors so that you can make it into separate cages. This is great for introducing new kids or isolating sickrecovering ferrets, etc. 4 Impossible to escape from. My only recommendation is to find something to cover the ramps. My fuzzies dont like the wire on their feet. I use those scratching strips that are sold in the cat department that are designed to be hung on doorknobs. Just loop the rope at the top over the ramp, re-attach to shelf. I currently have 2 floors, planning on buying the third soon.

This cage is huge! All of the parts are metal or heavy duty plastic. Excellent quality, you cant find a better cage. I love the double doors that you can fully open to thoroughly clean the entire cage, this feature also allows you to give your furkid big toys and beds that wont fit through the tiny door on most cages.
