Great design, well made, easy to clean. Easy to hang hammocks and decorate. 3 heights for shelf to attach. Wire spacing quite narrow so baby rats cannot escape.
Rated only 4 stars because the ~1 inch deep pans are insufficient if you have little females who back up into the corner to urinate. I have not put my girls in this cage but just my male rats for fear they would pee outside. A Urine guard is needed for those who rats back up against the wire to potty.
I put in the cage bottoms from 2 rat cages one with alfalfa pellets so they can use that for potty. The rats love the space. Superpet Silent Spinner attaches easily and securely.
Midwest has a deep plastic pan "in the works". So waiting to get that. There is a metal aftermarket pan from another manufacturer available. But prefer plastic since does not mark up bathtubs and lighter weight, no rust.
Another solution find 2 cat boxes that would fit.
